1540 Fractional Non-ablative Laser Skin Resurfacing
Palomar's unrivalled 1540 non-ablative fractional laser, coupled with the Starlux laser/IPL system gives unparalleled results in treatments to improve skin tone and texture with fastest recovery.

It is ideal for treating fine lines, scarring, stretch marks, melasma and textural irregularities on the face and any part of the body.

How does it work?

Fractional is the smart approach to skin resurfacing that delivers laser energy as an array of micro-beams to create areas of treated tissue surrounded by untreated tissue, resulting in faster healing and reduced side effects. The heated tissue within the columns initiates a natural healing process that forms new healthy tissue, resulting in a fresher, more youthful skin tone and texture. The non-ablative approach means quick healing in the dermis (deeper layer of the skin) while leaving the epidermis (top layer of the skin) intact, with no lasting redness and therefore no downtime.  An additional advantage is that darker skin types can be treated safely, with minimal risk of post-treatment pigmentation disorders.

A selection of lenses that are used in conjunction with the Palomar 1540 laser allow treatment of a wider range of skin conditions.  The latest of these lenses is the XD (extra deep) lens.

Skin Solutions is the first clinic in the UK to offer the new and exceptional XD lens which utilises compression for a deeper fractional treatment, making the Palomar 1540, with the XD lens, the king of scar treatments.

How many treatments will I need?
Most people need about five treatment sessions for optimum results.  Ideally, treatments are performed once a month.
How quickly will I recover?
People typically resume their regular activities, except for highly exertive exercise, immediately following the treatment session.  The fractional non-ablative technology of the 1540 laser promotes a quick healing process, with virtually no downtime. Mineral make-up can be applied immediately after the procedure.
How soon will I see results?
Most people notice positive changes in their skin tone and texture after just three sessions, with continuing visible improvements even after several months following the last treatment.
