_Aftercare

Thank you for choosing Profhilo®. Following these aftercare instructions will help optimise your results and minimise the risk of side effects._‍

_{What to expect}

It is normal to experience:

• Small raised bumps at the injection sites (these usually settle within 12–24 hours, occasionally up to 48 hours).
• Mild redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising.
• Slight itching or sensitivity.

These reactions are temporary. If you experience increasing pain, significant swelling, signs of infection, or any concerns, please contact your practitioner immediately._‍

_{For the first 24 hours}

• Do not touch, rub or massage the treated area.
• Avoid applying makeup for at least 6–12 hours.
• Avoid strenuous exercise.
• Avoid alcohol.
• Stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

_{For 48 hours}

• Avoid excessive heat, including saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, hot yoga and sunbeds.
• Avoid swimming to reduce the risk of infection.
• Avoid facials or other skin treatments.

_{For 1 week}

• Protect your skin from direct sun exposure and wear SPF 50 daily.
• Avoid chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments or other aesthetic procedures unless advised otherwise by your practitioner.

^{Additional advice}

• Sleep with your head slightly elevated on the first night if you experience swelling.
• Continue your normal skincare routine after 24 hours, provided the skin is comfortable and intact.
• Maintain good hydration, as Profhilo® works by improving skin hydration and stimulating collagen and elastin production.

^{Your results}

You may begin to notice improvements in skin hydration and texture within a few weeks, with optimal results developing after your second treatment.
